Helping people in Iraq | ASB Foreign Aid
The ASB has been operating in Iraq since 1991, with an interruption, and was one of the few organisations that implemented projects for refugees and the civilian population in northern Iraq between 1991 and 1999, despite the sanctions. In response to the Syrian refugee crisis, the ASB resumed operations in northern Iraq in 2012 and supported medical care in the refugee camps. Since 2014, the ASB has again had its own country office in Iraq. After the war against Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the ASB continues to support reconstruction and create future prospects for the people.
